Our Structure

With a dedicated fleet of over 150 vehicles supported by a pan European network providing access to over 2,500 vehicles on a daily basis, Barron Wood can offer significant scale to it’s customers whilst retaining local control of all resources.

Traffic is controlled through our two depots in Preston and Glasgow, with each customer allocated a dedicated traffic operator to manage their consignment from point of order to final delivery.

Our mixed fleet of artic and rigid vehicles, including express vans, can cater for the varied needs of our customers, with tautliner, box van and flat vehicles some fitted with specialist offload equipment. All vehicles are fitted with in-cab communications equipment, allowing accurate tracking of customers’ consignments.

Our highly experienced admin and accounts teams are based in our head office in Preston, and manage all aspects of the post-delivery process, ensuring compliance to customers’ proof of delivery and invoicing procedures.
